Senior Social Worker to Lerum Municipality

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a new employee who wants to work as a Senior Social Worker in our children and youth/adult group within the Authority for Functional Support. The current Senior Social Worker is moving on to an internal position as unit manager, which gives you the opportunity to take over an important and developing role in the organization.

As a Senior Social Worker, you are the first-line supervisor and have a central role in the daily work of the unit. You lead and distribute work within the team, guide employees, and ensure that the operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation and that established goals, routines, and guidelines are followed.

You actively work to ensure legal certainty, quality, and cost-effectiveness in decisions and interventions. Through continuous monitoring of the external environment, you contribute to ensuring that the operations are based on current knowledge and proven experience.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading, distributing, and following up the work in the team
  • Providing methodological guidance, both individually and in groups, tailored to employees' skills and experience
  • Ensuring legally secure, quality-assured, and cost-effective decisions and interventions
  • Contributing to organizational development as well as the development of working methods, methods, follow-up, and documentation
  • Promoting and participating in collaboration, both internally and externally
  • Administrative tasks such as reporting unexecuted decisions to IVO and conducting self-checks
  • Participating in the introduction of new employees together with other management

You work closely with the unit manager, the other Senior Social Worker, and other employees to follow up on the unit's goals and results.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent.
  • Solid experience in authority operations within functional support, preferably with experience in a supervisory role, such as Senior Social Worker.
  • A valid driver's license as the job may involve travel.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with the operational system Treserva.

  • Can remain calm and act objectively in difficult situations.
  • Is engaged and driven with the ability to work with a holistic perspective.
  • Is good at prioritizing, being meticulous, and analytical in your work.
  • Is very good at expressing yourself in speech and writing.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability for the role.
